Workshops self sufficiency

Monday July 20th - Friday July 24th
Daily 09:00 - 12:00
at the terrain of Bogata Suma, Croatia

In this week you will make a plan for yourself (or your family/household) to become more food self sufficient.

Day 1: Setting up a self sufficient life, what do you need/wish, stuff & skills, planning and scheduling.

Day 2: Planning and designing your annual vegetable system (garden, balcony, roof, windows), crop rotation

Day 3: Setting up a sustainable fruit forest (edible forest garden)

Day 4: Finalizing planning & drawings.

Day 5: Storing & preserving the harvest, drying, cannning, fermenting.

Monday July 27th - Friday July 31st

Daily 09:00 - 12:00
at the terrain of Bogata Suma, Croatia

In this week you will learn more hands on techniques to process your harvest.

Day 1: Making your own sourdough, bread baking, vegetable chips

Day 2: Herbs: finding, collecting, drying and storing them, making herbal teas, making tinctures, kitchen herbs, herbal oil

Day 3: Woodworking, blacksmithing, tool making

Day 4: Jam & syrup, fruit rolls

Day 5: wine making

We have a series of workshops on self sufficiency You can follow individual workshops, or take part in the whole series.

- Sourdough & bread baking

- Blacksmithing
- Storing your harvest, solar dryer
- Wine & liqueurs, making fruit wines
- Jam making
- Making sweets (fruit leather) and crisps (potato chips)
